AL-D*300’S “TASK FORCE” MAKES AN IMPACT ON BOSSTALK 101 MUSIC VIDEO REVIEW
From the living room of a Texas trap house, Al-D*300 narrates a drug bust from his days of hustling. Hailing from East Texas, specifically Longview, the rapper grabs your attention with his raspy delivery and street-minister approach.
Al-D*300 is well respected in the Houston rap scene. Rappers like Lil Keke, who appears on his latest album, Streets Is Dead, have spoken about Al-D’s relentless hustle in previous interviews. Al-D has also been a guest on Bosstalk 101, giving viewers a chance to hear more about his journey and experiences firsthand.
“Task Force” appears to be the third video in a series of visuals from Streets Is Dead. What makes this release stand out is the sound of a SWAT team carrying out a drug bust as Al-D sits in the same house, narrating the scene like a storyteller sharing an East Texas dope man’s point of view.
With the perspective of an OG, Al-D makes it clear that those days are behind him. Still, the video grabs your attention as though the task force is making a bust right before your eyes. Shot and directed by Cooly Films, the visual is a strong match for the track. Watching Al-D deliver heartfelt bars as he is arrested gives the lyrics an added weight. As SWAT kicks in the door and surprises him with tear gas, the story reflects a journey shaped by hardship.
If you understand street gospel, this video will hold your attention. For viewers unfamiliar with that lifestyle, it offers a vivid introduction to the street wisdom and storytelling rooted in East Texas.
