2 CHAINZ BRINGS “REIGN” AND DISPLAYS BIG MOTION

Atlanta’s club culture has helped shape the sound and swagger of Southern hip-hop for decades, and 2 Chainz knows how to make a record feel built for that setting. On his new single “Reign,” he links with Cash Cobain and Young Nudy over production from Statik Selektah. Released September 4, the track draws on 21st Century’s “Remember the Rain,” giving the collaboration a soulful backdrop with a fresh, cross-generational feel.

From records like “Bag Boy” to “Presha,” 2 Chainz has shown how to bring his signature cadence to different eras of Atlanta rap. On “Reign,” his veteran presence anchors the song while Cash Cobain brings his New York flavor to the hook and Young Nudy adds his laid-back delivery. That combination gives the track a rejuvenated energy while still letting 2 Chainz sound right at home.

His impact stretches beyond the music. From turning the Pink Trap House into a widely recognized cultural destination to keeping Atlanta’s sound in conversation with new artists, 2 Chainz has found ways to make his moves resonate with the culture. “Reign” continues that run, bringing different voices together while putting the spotlight back on the veteran who knows how to set the tone.
