Bend Parade And The Evolution of The New Boogie

Jhonnie Damn D and The Bend Parade Take Atlanta by Storm with “Murda Bend” — From the streets of Dallas–Fort Worth to TikTok fame, the Dallas Boogie movement is far from over

With his raspy flow, trap-boogie groove, and a signature Texas-styled haircut that represents the culture to the fullest, Jhonnie Damn D has become one of the most animated new faces of the southern club scene. His breakout single “Murda Bend,” originally released in November 2023, is once again making major noise—this time on a global scale thanks to TikTok and his growing movement known as “The Bend Parade.”

The record first caught the city’s attention when it was broken by DJ Juice and Mr. Hit Dat at the Dallas Coalition DJ 5-Year Anniversary, where Jhonnie Damn D performed it live for the very first time. The performance sparked instant buzz throughout Dallas–Fort Worth, lighting up the streets and dance floors with that signature Texas bounce that helped shape the Dallas Boogie sound.

After releasing a series of other high-energy boogie hits, the record’s momentum slowed briefly—until nearly a year later when “Murda Bend” caught fire again, this time on TikTok. The resurgence came after a Japanese dance crew uploaded a viral video mimicking the Dallas Boogie style and showing off the “Murda Bend” dance, bringing international attention back to Jhonnie’s sound.

Now, alongside artists like Lil Eaarl, Jaden So Groovy, and Yung Nation, who continue to carry the Dallas Boogie torch, Jhonnie Damn D is taking it to new heights. This past weekend, he and his crew—now known as The Bend Parade—took their movement 20 East to Atlanta, bringing the same energy that made Dallas famous straight into the heart of the South. From dancing in the streets for content to shutting down performances across the city, Atlanta wasn’t prepared for that kind of Texas energy.

Their Magic City performance and Hot 107.9 Midday Show interview solidified one thing—this isn’t just another dance trend; it’s a full cultural takeover. The “Murda Bend” is bending through the South with unstoppable momentum, and with every TikTok upload, every DJ spin, and every live performance, the movement grows stronger.

If you’re not bending yet, you’re about to get left behind. Jhonnie Damn D and The Bend Parade are here to show the world that the Dallas Boogie culture isn’t just alive—it’s evolving, spreading, and taking over one city at a time.
