JUDGE MOVES TO FORCE SALE OF NICKI MINAJ’S $20M MANSION TO SATISFY SECURITY GUARD’S JUDGMENT

A Los Angeles judge is preparing to initiate proceedings to force the sale of Nicki Minaj’s $20 million mansion, following allegations that the rapper and her husband, Kenneth Petty, have refused to pay a $500,000 court-ordered judgment owed to a security guard injured in a 2019 incident.

The legal dispute stems from a lawsuit filed by a former security guard who claims he suffered a broken jaw and other damages during an altercation involving Minaj’s team. Earlier rulings required Minaj and Petty to compensate the guard $500,000 for medical costs, emotional distress, and additional damages. According to filings, the plaintiff alleges the couple has not complied with the order.
After multiple attempts to collect the funds, the judge overseeing the case is reportedly prepared to authorize the forced sale of Minaj’s Beverly Hills–area residence to fulfill the outstanding judgment. Forced property sales are unusual and typically reserved for cases where other enforcement options—such as wage garnishment or bank asset levies—prove ineffective.
This development signals a significant escalation in a case that has followed Minaj for several years, bringing renewed public attention to the legal and financial consequences surrounding the matter.
The mansion in question—valued at approximately $20 million—is among the rapper’s flagship properties and a symbol of her long-standing success in the music industry. Should the court-mandated sale move forward, it may represent one of the most high-profile forced property sales connected to a celebrity judgment in recent years.
Boss Talk 101 will continue to follow this developing story, providing updates, expert legal insight, and cultural analysis as the situation progresses.
