Prayers Up for Jamaica: Hurricane Melissa Hits Home

Our hearts are heavy tonight as Hurricane Melissa, a Category 5 monster storm, tears across Jamaica, the homeland of our very own Mz Jamaica of Boss Talk 101 Podcast. With winds reaching 185 mph, torrential rain, and devastating floods, the island is facing one of the most powerful hurricanes in its history.

Melissa has already caused widespread power outages, flooding in Kingston and along the southern coast, and forced thousands into emergency shelters. Reports say some areas could see over 30 inches of rain and storm surges up to 13 feet, leaving entire communities cut off.

This is more than a headline for us,  it’s personal. Mz Jamaica’s roots run deep in the island’s soil, and we’re lifting up every family, friend, and loved one being hit by this storm.

As the world watches, let’s come together in prayer for Jamaica, for safety, strength, and recovery in the days ahead.

🙏🏽 Stay strong, Jamaica. The world is with you. 🇯🇲
