Raekwon Announces New Album The Emperor’s New Clothes, Featuring Hip-Hop Icons Ghostface Killah and Nas
New York, NY – July 7,2025 – Legendary Wu-Tang Clan lyricist Raekwon is set to return with a powerful new solo album titled The Emperor’s New Clothes, promising to blend sharp lyricism with elite collaborations. The album will feature appearances from longtime collaborator Ghostface Killah and iconic rapper Nas, marking a significant moment in hip-hop’s ongoing legacy.
This upcoming release is Raekwon’s first full-length project since The Wild (2017), and fans are eager for another cinematic body of work from the man who helped define street storytelling in rap with classics like Only Built 4 Cuban Linx.
Raekwon previewed the album during a recent performance, where his energy and presence reminded fans why he’s one of the most respected MCs in the game. Dressed in Tommy Hilfiger and commanding the stage with authority, Raekwon teased tracks that echo themes of royalty, legacy, and lyrical dominance.
“This album is about leveling up mentally, emotionally, and spiritually,” says Raekwon. “The Emperor’s New Clothes is a metaphor for shedding old narratives and stepping into my power unapologetically.”
Fans can expect:
• Features from Ghostface Killah, continuing the legendary chemistry of Cuban Linx fame
• Guest verses from Nas, adding Queensbridge royalty to the Staten Island narrative
• Production from both classic boom bap architects and new-wave sonic innovators
• A visual and lyrical exploration of truth, image, and legacy in the rap game
This album is more than just a return—it’s a reignition of Raekwon’s throne in hip-hop.
The Emperor’s New Clothes is slated for release Fall 2025, with more singles and visuals expected to drop soon.
