SCARFACE KICKS OFF LEGENDARY CYPHER WITH GHOSTFACE KILLAH AND KOOL G RAP

Scarface kicks off a legendary cypher freestyle produced by Jay One and presented by Red Bull Spiral. What makes the moment even more historic is that the Texas giant is followed by two of the greatest lyricists of all time—Ghostface Killah and Kool G Rap.
Following Scarface’s powerful sit-down with Bosstalk 101 a few months ago, true Face Mob fans were hungry for more. During that conversation, Scarface went deep into his legacy, his creative process, and what continues to give him the drive to pick up the microphone after decades in the game.
His Red Bull Spiral freestyle was nothing short of a classic lyrical sermon. Scarface used the moment to school today’s street culture on the difference between building a lasting legacy and simply playing the part.
“YOU’LL UNDERSTAND MY REASONING, JUST READ BETWEEN THE LINES
YOU AIN’T A GANGSTER ’CAUSE YOU DONE A LITTLE TIME
WHAT MAKE A N**** GANGSTER IS THE WAY YOU USE YA MIND…” — SCARFACE
Those bars represent everything fans have respected about Scarface throughout his career. His words come from experience, but they are always delivered with wisdom, purpose, and a message beneath the surface.
All three MCs are celebrated for their elite storytelling, and together they deliver a lyrical weather report on the current condition of hip-hop culture. Ghostface Killah brings the vivid imagery and unpredictable wordplay that made him one of the Wu-Tang Clan’s most distinctive voices, while Kool G Rap reminds listeners why generations of MCs have studied his rhyme patterns, street narratives, and technical precision.
With New York standing as the birthplace of hip-hop, this cypher also represents a powerful show of respect to Texas and its position as an active and influential member of the hip-hop coalition. Scarface has spent his career proving that Southern lyricism belongs in every serious conversation about the greatest MCs of all time.
Longevity, knowledge, and purpose immediately come to mind when considering what Scarface means to the culture. Rapping and displaying his lyrical genius are not temporary exercises for the Houston legend. Music is simply who he is, who he has always been, and who he will continue to be.
BOSSTALK 101 GOES INSIDE THE MIND OF SCARFACE
During Bosstalk 101’s latest interview with Scarface, E CEO and Mz. Jamaica gave viewers a glimpse inside the mind of the legend during major musical exhibitions such as his celebrated Tiny Desk Concert.
Scarface explained that he is thinking about nothing when he begins a live set. For him, performing is like stepping into the unknown, where nothing matters except the music. His focus reaches all the way down to how the percussion lands on the one and the exact pitch struck by the bass guitar. Every musical detail plays a part in his delivery.
Being respected for his flow, storytelling, and lyrical ability is only the icing on the cake compared to his genuine love for music itself.
Watch the clip below from Bosstalk 101’s recent interview as Scarface speaks about his Tiny Desk experience and reveals what happens inside his mind when the music begins.
