Tamar Braxton Reveals She “Almost Died” After Being Found in a Pool of Blood
Los Angeles, CA – August 20, 2025 — Grammy-nominated singer, television personality, and actress Tamar Braxton has revealed she “almost died” after suffering a serious and mysterious health incident over the weekend.

In a raw and emotional message shared with fans, Braxton, 48, disclosed that she was found by a friend lying in a pool of blood, sustaining severe injuries including a fractured nose, lost teeth, and limited mobility. Despite the visible trauma, Braxton admits she has no memory of what caused the accident.
“I almost died Sunday. I was found in a pool of blood by my friend with a face injury… As days go by, the worse it is… I fractured my nose, lost some teeth and mobility. I don’t even know what happened to me,” Braxton wrote in her Instagram Stories on August 19.
The singer went on to share that she is currently unable to talk much due to weakness and is focusing on both her physical and mental recovery. She later posted spiritual messages and Bible verses, including Proverbs 31, expressing her gratitude: “Thank you God for waking me up today.”
A History of Resilience
This near-fatal event marks yet another chapter in Braxton’s long journey of survival and resilience:

- 2022 – Hospitalized with a severe case of the flu.
- 2015 – Forced to withdraw from Dancing With the Stars after being diagnosed with blood clots in her lungs.
Despite these challenges, Tamar continues to display courage and transparency in sharing her health battles with the public.
Moving Forward

Her openness highlights both her physical resilience and her commitment to mental healing as she navigates this deeply personal health crisis.
